As a perseverant, responsible, and altruistic leader, I have had the privilege of serving as the Boarding Floor Captain for grades 10 and 11 boys for two years as a grade 9 student, and as the Representative of the entire dorm for one year. These roles have taught me the value of compassion, as well as the importance of time management and collaboration in creating an enjoyable and supportive environment.

Influencing over 100 residents in the dorm, I have organized several initiatives to enhance the boarding experience. One such event was a special Easter supper, where my team and I decorated the dining hall, fully engaging in the hard work required to make the evening memorable. The result was a wonderful, meaningful gathering where children and teenagers enjoyed an unforgettable meal together.

Additionally, I spearheaded the organization of a movie night exclusively for teenagers, using an online poll to select the movie "Coming Home Again." This event presented unique challenges, as some boarders preferred to study, work out in the fitness gym, or play sports rather than watch the movie. I worked swiftly to accommodate these differing preferences by coordinating with faculty and staff, ensuring that all three activities could be available. My team and I collaborated with the IT department to set up the movie night in the performing hall, creating an engaging and entertaining evening for everyone.

As a grade 9 student in a British school, I understand the stress that comes with preparing for the CIE IGCSE exams. My goal has always been to help alleviate that stress for myself and my peers by fostering an environment where we can feel secure and happy, even amidst rigorous academic demands. Looking ahead, I am eager to organize a sports festival that will include football and athletics to further promote a sense of community and well-being.
